Sports Masseur available from 31st October

 

We are really pleased to have Andrew Underwood working with us as Sports Masseur. Appointments are available for Tuesdays and Thursdays. Bookings can be made by clicking here


“The Wattbike was created with British Cycling to provide an indoor bike for training and testing that is suitable for everyone from school children to Olympic Gold Medalists. Within seconds you can be accurately measuring your power output, your pedaling technique and heart rate.”

 

'Power Cycling' sessions will be run in training blocks of 6 weeks. Week 1 will be "familiarisation and assessment" in order to ascertain each individual's current levels of performance. Weeks 2-6 will be a series of progressive coaching sessions to develop each rider's cycling power and fitness. Then we start again with Week 1 re-assessments and Weeks 2-6 run with rider's new zones etc etc.


 As everyone will be working to their own personal "power zones" it does not matter what ability level you have....classes will be a mix.

 

Classes are kept small and we are using just eight bikes in order to ensure that everyone is looked after properly.

 

Session cost is £11 per hour, so a six-week programme at 1 session per week is £66.  If you do two classes a week there is a 25% discount on that second session (use DISC25 in the Coupon Code box when booking that second class).

 

To encourage youngsters there is a 10% discount for under-18s.....use UNDER18 in the Coupon Code box.

 

The 'full' programme starts from Monday 4th September. That will be a series of six-week blocks through to Spring 2018, and we will provide evening classes on all five weekday nights per week.

 

We also offer these classes in the schedule:-

  • 06:45 early mornings
  • 09:30 for the school-run folks
  • personal and private coaching
  • lunchtimes
  • ladies-only
  • parents and kids (use the DISC25 code for under-16s)

The bikes are also available for you to use unsupervised on your own as part of your training, bookings will not be required for these sessions but you will need to have undertaken a preliminary Introduction and Wattbike Acclimatisation first.
